Marva Andrews and Rev. Victoria Rebeck to Retire from the NIC

Two Northern Illinois Conference staff members are preparing to retire: Marva Andrews, executive assistant to the bishop (Oct. 15), and Rev. Victoria Rebeck, director of communication (Sept. 1).

Elizabeth Stahl Named NIC Risk Manager

The Northern Illinois Conference is pleased to welcome Elizabeth Stahl as the conference's new risk manager. She begins her new role on June 2.

New Event Coordinator joins NIC staff

Ariel Alonso, NIC's new events coordinator/administrative assistant, begins work on Sept. 12.

Rev. Christian Coon is Named Director of Congregational Development

Bishop Dan Schwerin has appointed Rev. Christian Coon as Northern Illinois Conference Director of Congregational Development, effective July 1. Rev. Coon will follow Rev. Martin Lee, who retires on July 1.

Elaine Moy Named NIC Treasurer & Director of Administrative Services

Elaine Moy, a member of First UMC, Evanston, joins the staff of the Northern Illinois Conference on April 15, 2024.

Bishop Announces Assistant to the Bishop Transition

Rev. Arlene Christopherson, the Northern Illinois Conference assistant to the bishop, will retire on Sept. 1. Rev. Danita Anderson will follow her in that role.
