Whether you’re searching for a congregation, exploring districts, or looking for clergy and laity contacts, these directories provide quick and convenient ways to find what you need. Our interactive Google Map, searchable Church Directory, and the UMC’s Find-A-Church platform each offer different ways to discover congregations across the NIC. For those needing leadership information, the Clergy and Laity Directories provide detailed contact listings to support ministry, communication, and connection across the conference.
Our searchable Church Directory provides quick access to every NIC congregation, including addresses, contact information, and current worship times. Whether you’re seeking a new worship community or gathering details for ministry, this directory offers a simple and reliable way to connect.
Access the NIC Church Directory
Explore churches visually using the NIC Interactive Google Map. Each congregation is marked with a pin color-coded by district (Blue – Prairie North, Green – Prairie South, Red – Prairie Central, Yellow – Lake North, Purple – Lake South). You can filter by district or search by city or church name. Clicking a pin reveals the church’s name, address, phone number, and website, when available.

Find-A-Church, provided by The United Methodist Church, allows you to browse thousands of UMC congregations nationwide—including all churches in the Northern Illinois Conference. You can search by location, worship style, accessibility, and ministry offerings. NIC churches are automatically included, and local churches can keep their listings accurate by updating their profile on Find-A-Church.

The Annual Directory provides a comprehensive snapshot of the Northern Illinois Conference for the 2025-2026 appointment year. This information is intended for NIC churches, related groups, clergy, laity, and staff to conduct business and build connections at the conference, district, and local church level. This resource is updated each year to ensure accuracy and ease of use for your ministry needs, with additional updates provided throughout the year as needed. Each section of the directory is available as its own downloadable PDF: Church & Conference, Clergy, and Laity.
A printed version of the full directory is also available through Amazon as a print-on-demand resource for $7. This option supports both cost efficiency and eco-friendly practices by reducing waste and allowing users to order only the copies they need.

The Church and Committee Directory pdf offers an organized listing of all churches within the Northern Illinois Conference, arranged by district, along with conference committees, teams, and ministry groups. No password is needed for this section.

The Clergy Directory offers up-to-date information on all appointed and retired clergy within the Northern Illinois Conference, as well as surviving spouses. Designed to foster collaboration, communication, and connection across the conference. For privacy reasons, access to the Clergy section is restricted and requires a password for those with a legitimate need for the information.

The Laity Directory pdf includes Lay Members to Annual Conference, district leadership, lay servants, and those engaged in various conference ministries.
