Our weekly email newsletter, the NIC eNews, is published every Wednesday. Please submit stories and events by end of business Mondays. Space is limited.
District eNews are sent out the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. Please submit stories and events by end of business on the 2nd and 4th Mondays. Space is limited. Stories of fewer than 250 words are preferred.
Our print newsletter, the NIC Reporter, is published 6 times a year. Please allow 4-6 weeks for stories to appear in print.
Our website is updated throughout the week. Please allow 2-3 business days for editing and formatting of content.
We welcome articles from churches highlighting ministries, outreach, and missions which tell the story of being vital Christians. Events considered should be of conference-wide appeal and United Methodist-related. For District events, please contact your Regional Administrator. Classifieds except for job listings may not be considered at this time.
Please send content in Microsoft Word or in the body of an email. Stories of fewer than 500 words are preferred. Longer documents may be posted as downloadable resources. Please do not submit Microsoft Publisher files. PDF flyers are welcome, please send as an attachment. Submissions will be edited at the discretion of Communications staff.
Photos and graphics should be in .jpg format. For print publication in the Reporter, please send the file at full resolution to communications@umcnic.org. Web and screen resolutions use photos at about 72 pixels per inch. Print media needs 300 pixels per inch.
The conference calendar is reserved for events that are run by conference staff, committees, and groups and open to the entire conference or specific district. Please send your event posting request to communciations@umcnic.org for review. This document can help with the information we need.
