Youthministry

In fall 2020, the Discipleship Task Force introduced the first pair of videos for a six-month series about growing and strengthening discipleship ministries, with a particular focus on youth. Last month, we encouraged youth workers to not be afraid of the questions that youth may ask, as well as the questions that they, as leaders, may have about creating and maintaining discipleship ministries with youth.

Our theme for February, “Know Your Story/Own Your Story”, continues that encouragement for youth workers. It may sound cliché, but it is true: be yourself—know who you are and how you got here, and be open and willing to share that.

Our theme video is presented by Rev. Tammy Scott, pastor at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church. Be sure to check it out here, then continue with Deacon Sharon’s resource video, here.
