In these days we are living, chaos reigns in the news cycle, bullying and hatred are on the rise, and we seem to have little control over what will come next. Our church is searching for a Way Forward. Families hustle to get to school, soccer practice, and find time to shop for groceries. We hurry to catch up. Where can we find respite?!
The Northern Illinois Conference Spiritual Formation Committee invites you to a Five-Day Academy for Spiritual Formation: Come to the Waters. The setting is on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan in Racine at the Siena Retreat Center from September 12-17, 2020
For five days a rhythm of prayer, worship, learning, and reflection will center you. With time to deepen our walk with God through periods of silence, morning and evening prayer, Eucharist, and the teachings of two gifted leaders, Marjorie Thompson, Author of Companions in Christ, a Lenten Study on Forgiveness, and Spiritual Advisor, and Frank Rogers, Author of Practicing Compassion and Spiritual Advisor connecting the spirit with social engagement.
Walking the Labyrinth or the beach, reading or resting, engaging with others, or spending time in silence, you will find refreshment for your heart and encouragement for your spirit.
Early Registration is until March 20, 2020, at a reduced rate of $625.00, which includes single-occupancy lodging with private bath and meals.
After March 20 registration increases to $700.00.
