Anti-Racism Workshop

Location: Friendship United Methodist Church, 305 E. Boughton Road., Bolingbrook, IL.

September 11
9 am - 1 pm

Becoming the Beloved Community

Do you want to be part of an epic American quest? Stephen Maynard Caliendo said, “American democracy is at once vibrant because of our Founding Fathers’ vision and imperfect because of their blind spots.” Racism has been called America’s original sin. Are we going to be a nation/church of our vision or of our founding?

On Sat., September 11, the Anti-racism Task Force will kick-off a newly created workshop called, "Becoming the Beloved Community," focusing on a conversation about why racism persists and what can be done to address it.

Space is limited; however, future workshops will be held.

This is scheduled to be an in-person event held at Friendship United Methodist Church, 305 E. Boughton Road., Bolingbrook, IL. The cost is $40 (includes meals and materials).
