Sympathy Notice: Rev. J. Peter Lovell

Rev. J. Peter Lovell, a retired clergy member of the Northern Illinois Conference, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at age 80. During his ministry in the Northern Illinois Conference, Rev. Lovell served River Forest, Apple River, Warren, Cicero: Wesley, Arlington Heights: First, Elk Grove Village: Prince of Peace, Schaumburg: Our Redeemer's, New Lenox, and as the Rockford District Superintendent.

A Memorial Celebration for the lives of both Peter and his wife Priscilla, who died on December 11, 2020, will be held on Saturday, July 31 at 11:00 am at New Lenox United Methodist Church, 339 W. Haven Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60451.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the American Cancer Society, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
