Posted: January 2 2019 at 11:19 AM

The Rev. Carol Madalin, ABLC in the Northern Illinois Conference, died on December 21, 2018, following a courageously fought battle with breast cancer. Carol was in hospice at the time of her death surrounded by family and friends.

Carol became a provisional Deacon in 2004 and a full Deacon in 2008.

During her ministry, she served at Naperville: Grace, Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care and PinnacleCare before moving to Medical Leave just a few weeks ago.

Services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Grace United Methodist Church (300 E. Gartner, Naperville, IL, 60565.) A visitation and photo viewing will take place at 9:30 am with a service and memorial at 11 am. The interment will be held privately with family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Planned Parenthood or Family Shelter Service in Naperville.

Words of comfort may be sent to the Madalin family at 1553 Killdeer Drive, Naperville, IL  60565.

Father, we ask You to send Your peace to Rev. Carol Madalin and her family who are mourning the loss of Carol. Continue to surround them with family, friends and loved ones who will offer words of comfort. Help them to put their trust in You as they find your strength and meaning even in the midst of sorrow.
