In Sympathy: Lorraine Cheek

Lorraine Cheek, surviving spouse of the deceased member Rev. Roger E Cheek of the Northern Illinois Conference, passed away on May 12, 2025.

Mrs. Cheek was 95.

Rev. Cheek faithfully served several congregations during his ministry, including: United Rock Run Parish; Maple Park Cortland; Galena; Steward Creston; Steward; Albany; and Coleta.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Disciples United Methodist Church, Mt. Morris, Illinois. Visitation with the family will take place at 10 a.m., prior to the service as well as a light luncheon will be served following the service.

Messages of condolences can be sent via the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial gifts in Lorraine’s honor to the following organizations, with heartfelt appreciation for the compassionate care and support they provided:
