“There’s Far More Than Meets the Eye”
Mission u is presented by United Methodist Women for all (children, youth, men and women).
Purpose: Learning for the Transformation of the World.
Courses:
❖ Bearing Witness in the Kin-dom: Living into the Church’s Moral Witness Through Radical Discipleship (led by Judith Siaba)
❖ Intergenerational Study - Pushout / Becoming Peacemakers in a Culture of Violence (ages12-up; led by Diana Davis)
Hinsdale UMC: February 4-5, 2022
Courses:
❖ Finding Peace in an Anxious World (led by Rev. Young-Mee Park)
❖ Pushout: The Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools (led by Audrey Sherman & Leah Ostwald)
❖ Responding to Violence, a study for children (ages 5-11; led by Rev. Harriette Cross)
Mission u will be an online event. The opening session (plenary) and first class will be held Friday evening (7-9 PM). Saturday (9 AM-4 PM) will include additional class sessions, break activities and our closing plenary.
Fees are $45 for an in-person adult (lunch included), $15 for each virtual adult, $5 for each child or youth with a maximum of $15 for children and youth per family. Registration is due by noon, January 16 (for Rockford) and January 30 (for Hinsdale), 2022. Registration can be done through a Cheddar Up link at winter-mission-u-2022.cheddarup.com or by mailing or emailing a completed registration form to Mari Schirmer, 1455 Crystal Ct, Naperville, IL 60563, NILUMW.registrar@gmail.com. In-person class size will be limited to 15 on a first-come-first-served basis.

Show your support by sharing this new type of UMW event with your friends and family, as all of UMW transitions to a new kind of Mission u (come to the event and learn firsthand about the coming changes).
