Activities begin at 7 p.m. Central on Wednesday, April 30 (100 days since the U.S. presidential inauguration) and run through 7 p.m. Central on Thursday, May 1 (National Day of Prayer).
The event, an ecumenical event endorsed by the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church, is designed to unite us around our yearning for healing and a better world. Prayer is powerful! Imagine our unity in it.
We invite all faith communities to join us!
The event will take place from 7 p.m. Central on the 100th Day (April 30, 2025) through the 7 p.m. Central on the National Day of Prayer (May 1, 2025).
Rev. Fabiola Grandon-Mayer, the Conference Director of Connectional Ministries, the Conference Committee on Discipleship & Spiritual Formation, and the Conference Committee on Religion & Race support #PrayerOnThe100th as a conference-wide event.
They invite individuals to pray or to lead an online prayer within your community for 15 minutes during the prayer vigil.

During this 24-hour period, opportunities will include Drive-Through Prayer, Park and Pray, Spaces for Prayer and Listening, and a Front-Porch Prayer Gathering.
People can attend the UMC of Libertyville for their 24 hours of prayer or churches can host prayer gatherings in their buildings.
If your church cannot host for the entire 24 hours, consider devoting part of the day for prayer and encourage participation in the UMC of Libertyville opportunities for the other times.
