To get credit for taking each course, you must complete all ten hours of the course.
Sundays, January 9 and 16 from 1-4 pm
Wednesdays, January 12 and 19 from 6:30-8:30 pm

Leading Worship led by Pastor Marcia Peddicord, CLM
This course focuses on the ministry of the lay servant who either regularly or occasionally leads a group or congregation in worship. Participant's book is "Worshiping with United Methodists" (Revised) by Hoyt Hickman. AB526 or 978-0-687-33526-8. The cost is $11.99.
For the Common Good (formerly Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts), led by Jean Gewin.
This course helps participants understand spiritual gifts and how the church can use them to fulfill its mission and ministry. Participants will also learn what it means to be a spiritual leader and will be equipped to lead others in exploring and using their spiritual gifts. Participant's book is "For the Common Good," by Christine Harman. DR958 or 978-0-88177-958-5. Cost of the book is $14.00.
Books are available in E-Pub, Kindle, and print book, in Cokesbury or Amazon.
Both of these classes are required classes if seeking advancement to Certified Lay Speaker or Certified Lay Minister.
Registration will be open from Wednesday, December 15 - January 7.
