NIC Youth Interfaith Bus Trip

Location: Five different houses of worship in Northern Illinois

We are called as disciples of Jesus to love all our neighbors. But who are some of those neighbors? And what about neighbors who hold different beliefs and faith practices?

Sat. April 18
8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Join the NIC Council on Young People’s Ministry as youth from across the conference travel together by bus to visit four different houses of worship. This interfaith experience is designed to foster learning, curiosity, and faithful conversation while building community among middle school and high school youth.

*Note: The Youth Field Trip Permission, Transportation & Medical Authorization Form needs to be completed during registration. The form is linked in the registration form and here.

Cost: $20 per person (covers continental breakfast and lunch)

Youth are encouraged to bring an adult. If an adult is not available to accompany the youth, please contact Rev. Sharon Rice to coordinate.

Transportation via church bus or passenger van will be available. Space will be limited and determined on a first-come, first-served basis. Transportation arrangements will be coordinated after registration based on various pick-up sites around the conference.

  • Hindu Temple, 1851 Pramukh Swami Maharaj Rd, Bartlett, IL 
  • Jain Temple, 435 Illinois Rte 59, Bartlett, IL
  • Buddhist Temple, 1S100 Illinois Rte 59, West Chicago, IL
  • Sikh Temple, 2131 Creekside Dr, Wheaton, IL
