The purpose of The John Wesley Theological Institute is to present John Wesley’s theology, suitably updated (as he updated his sources), as truly relevant for contemporary and ecumenical theology. The discovery of this, on properly critical and scholarly terms, would be a momentous development to the theological sensitivity of The United Methodist Church and the ecumenical movement at large.
