"Green Summit: It Works For Us!"

Hear about local church green efforts, observe the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, and attend a workshop about Earthkeepers projects or Just Energy for All.  Cost: $10.

Registration is closed but walk-ins are welcome.

9:15am  Welcome, Eco-Sustainability Task Force

9:30am Keynote: "Greening our Faith Communities" with  Rev. Brian Sauder, president and director of Faith in Place.

10:30am “It Works for Us”:  Learn about solar panels on the church building, community rain gardens, zero waste goals, and conservation at home. Featuring Rev. Marti Scott of Euclid Avenue UMC, Anna Halverson of North Central College and Karl Kettelkamp, farmer and member at Kaneville UMC.

11:45am Workshops (choose one)

-         Earthkeepers Projects and Community Organizing

-         Just Energy for All and the UMW Climate Justice emphasis

12:30pm   Earth Day 2020 Climate Action Strategies
