NIC COMMITTEE ON LAY SERVANT MINISTRIES invites you to attend an informational session to learn:

  • What is a Certified Lay Minister (CLM)? What do they do?
  • What is the process to become a Certified Lay Minister?
  • How do I know if I’m being called?
  • How do I begin?


Three different locations, content will be identical:

DeKalb and Rockford -  Saturday, December 1 - Oregon UMC 200 S 4th St. Oregon, IL 61061

Aurora and Elgin - Saturday, January 5 -  Roselle UMC, 206 Rush St. Roselle, IL 60172

Chicago Northwestern and Chicago Southern - Saturday, January 12th Oaklawn First UMC, 100th Street & Central Avenue, Oak Lawn, IL, 60453

Registration begins 8:30am  Session: 9:00am– 12:00pm
