Rev. Fred Berchtold, a retired clergy member of the Northern Illinois Conference, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021, at age 84.
During his ministry in Northern Illinois Conference, Rev. Berchtold served Dixon: First, Montgomery, Bristol, Northlake, Hampshire: First, Norwood Park, and Barrington: Salem.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, July 24 at First United Methodist Church of Elgin, 216 E. Highland, Elgin.
Memorial donations may be made to The Heifer Project, or to the American Cancer Society.
