Almost 200 March for Justice for Immigrants
About 150 Northern Illinois United Methodists marched to demonstrate their support of justice for immigrants on June 15, near the Schaumburg Renaissance Convention Center.
Rev. Eugene Winkler, retired clergy member of the Northern Illinois Conference passed away Friday, June 16, 2017. During his ministry with the NIC, he served at Waukegan: Faith, Naperville: Community, and First UMC at the Chicago Temple. He was 83 years old.
The services for Rev. Winkler will be held June 24, 2017 at Barrington United Methodist Church located at 98 Algonquin Rd, Barrington, IL.
Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11:00am followed by a worship service at 11:00am.
