Pentecost Gathering in Freeport Area Raises Hope
Hope was alive on May 31 as an intergenerational group of over 300 from 16 Freeport-area churches gathered at the Oakdale Tabernacle to celebrate Pentecost.
Rev. Erika Hundrieser, retired clergy member of the Northern Illinois Conference passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017. During her ministry with the Northern Illinois Conference, she served Lindenhurst: Trinity, Hazel Crest: Community, Chicago: Albany Park, Millington, and Joliet: Trinity. She was 88 years old.
No funeral or a memorial service will be held. They had a “funeral” during the last few days when Erika was able to hear family and friends talking to her. Rev. Karen Hundrieser said it was very beautiful.
