General Conference 2020 (2024) Updates
The UMC General Conference (postponed from 2020) came to order on the morning of April 23. Follow daily reports focusing on topics of interest to Northern Illinois Conference readers.
Carol Lynn Kingery, spouse of Rev. Thomas Kingery retired clergy member of the Northern Illinois Conference, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019. During Rev. Kingery's ministry, he served Brookville-Elkhorn, Rockford: Harlem, Plano, Galena, Pecatonica, Rockton, and Wilmington: First.
Carol was 63 years old.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 18 at Pecatonica United Methodist Church, 528 Washington St., Pecatonica, IL 61063. Visitation will be held from 9 am - 11 am and the Memorial Ceremony will begin at 11 am with Rev. Mark Gilmore and Chaplain Randy Heinzeroth co-officiating.
