Rev. Francine Taylor-Thirus, a retired member of the Northern Illinois Conference, passed away on Oct. 8, 2024. During her ministry she served Wilmette: Trinity; Chicago: Saint James; Carol Stream: St. Andrew; UN Protestant Campus Ministry; Discipleship Ministries; Joliet: Grace; and Chicago: United Church of Rogers Park.
Rev. Taylor-Thirus was 81 years old.
A memorial service will be held on Oct. 19 at St Mark United Methodist Church, 8441 S. St. Lawrence Ave., Chicago, IL 60619. The visitation will start at 10 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m.
