NIC UMM Annual Spiritual Congress: Walking Each Day with Hope

Sept. 11-13

The Spiritual Congress is an annual retreat sponsored by Northern Illinois Conference United Methodist Men. It is a time for learning, fellowship, worship, and relaxation. It is a time for renewal! All men are welcome.

Highlights:

  • Welcome and introduction of the theme (by video): Bishop Dan Schwerin, Northern Illinois Conference 
  • From Church to Club to Community Presence (by video): Rev. Dr. Rick Vance
  • Holy Communion and Message: Rev. Dr. Norval Brown
  • Friday Night Opening Message with HOPE: NACP President Mark Dehority
  • “Walking Each Day with HOPE”: UMMF Mark Lubbock and Steve Nailor
  • Music by Alleluia Quartet

 

 The Spiritual Congress will also feature a Christian movie, opportunities for prayer and worship; the annual UMM awards ceremony; a service project with Midwest Mission Distribution Center packing dry-food Blessing Bags; an update on local, conference, national UMM initiatives and Scouting; excellent food; and time for camaraderie on the shores of Lake Geneva.
