Step away from the busyness of suburban and city life and experience the beauty and culture of rural Illinois. Middle school and high school students, along with conference youth leaders, are invited to join the NIC Council on Young People's Ministry for a day in the Savanna area.


This all-day adventure includes:

Cost: $15 per person (covers transportation, meals, and activities).

Round-trip transportation is provided from the Naperville/Schaumburg area.

Please note:

  • Youth need to be middle school or high school students in grades 6th to 12th.
  • Youth under age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult or youth leader from their church.
  • Youth Leaders attending this event must be Safe Sanctuary certified.
  • There is no cost for youth or youth leaders from First UMC of Savanna.
  • Round trip transportation will be coming from the Naperville/Schaumburg area to and from Savanna.
    • The exact pick up location will be communicated later.
    • The vans are scheduled to depart at 7 a.m. and return by 7 or 8 p.m.
    • If you are a youth in need of transportation assistance to the pick-up location in Schaumburg or Naperville, please let us know.
    • If Savanna is closer for you than the designated pick-up sites, or if it works better for your schedule, you are welcome to coordinate your own transportation to and from Savanna.
