The NIC Board of Ordained Ministry invites current and future licensed local pastor/candidacy/clergy mentors to the NIC’s 2017 Mentor Training Workshop. This is a highly recommended training for all current and future licensed local pastor/candidacy/clergy mentors. After completing this training, you will be trained to serve as a mentor for the next quadrennium.

When: Wednesday, April 26 from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM (The workshop will begin promptly at 9 AM)
Where: First UMC: DeKalb, 321 Oak St, DeKalb, IL / Phone: (815) 756-6301)
Continental breakfast provided.
Lunch: Panera boxed lunches. You can specify lunch preferences on the RSVP page. Lunch is provided at no charge to attendees courtesy of the NIC Board of Ordained Ministry.

Ms. Meg Lassiat from GBHEM will be flying in to lead the training.

A note about language: “candidacy mentor” is defined as someone mentoring a certified candidate, which includes both those considering applying for commissioning and persons serving as local pastors; “clergy mentor” is someone mentoring a commissioned elder/deacon who eventually may apply for ordination.

Please contact Rev. Allyson Talbert if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for what you all do to support the up-and-coming local pastors and clergy of the Northern Illinois Conference.
