*Required for those appointed or assigned to a local church or conference position. Extension, ABLC & retirees are welcome to attend but are not required to participate.

Healthy boundaries sustain all of our relationships and bring joy to ministry.  Understanding boundaries in the multiple ministry roles are crucial for a healthy and safe faith community. This workshop will encourage the awareness of power and vulnerability in ministerial relationships, explore dual relationships and the challenges they present, as well as the importance and necessity of self-care in establishing healthy boundaries.
Three Separate Dates/ Three Different Sites.
Choose ONE to attend:

  • Tuesday, September 26 Kishwaukee College Conference Center – Rt. 38 & Malta Rd. (west of DeKalb)
  • Thursday, October 5 Naperville: Korean UMC- 2403 W. Diehl Road, Naperville
  • Saturday, November 4 Northbrook: Crown Plaza – 2875 N. Milwaukee, Northbrook

Cost: $15 per person

CEU Credit: 1 CEU will be awarded to those who attend the full day, read the book “Saying No to Say Yes – Everyday Boundaries and Pastoral Excellence” by David C. Olsen and Nancy G. Devor and write a one-page reflection to be submitted to your District Superintendent by December 1, 2017.
