The Northern Illinois Conference Conference Board of Global Ministries is about being in ministry WITH the global movement of God's mission to our local United Methodist congregations in Northern Illinois. Through our mission secretaries, Volunteer in Mission Teams, Urban Strategy, missionary itineration, and mission fairs, we inform and engage local congregations in the work that is being done by those coming "from everywhere, to everywhere." Ministry "with" acknowledges that God is already at work, and we seek to partner with those already engaged in God's work. As a part of our ministry together, we also support connectional giving, including apportionment giving and extra-mile giving to the Advance.
