Mission Truck at Annual Conference 2012

Join the challenge to fill the Mission Truck at Annual Conference in 2012. The goal is to have at least 30 kits from every NIC congregation.

Congregations, youth groups, UMW, UMM, all are invited to put together Kits and bring them to annual conference to fill the mission truck.

Wanted: Hygiene Kits, School Kits, Baby Care Kits, and Emergency Clean-up Buckets

The kits will be delivered to Church World Service to be used in its disaster response work. The United Methodist Church is one of 37 member denominations that make up Church World Service, which works closely with UMCOR during disaster response efforts in the U.S. and the World.

The first page describes the effort and the second page has lists of the contents for each kit. Additional information about the kits may be obtained at www.churchworldservice.org/kits

Kits should be packed in boxes marked with the name and address of the donor church, and the quantity and kind of kts in each box. Financial gifts will also be appreciated to help pay for shipping the kits from the warehouse to those in need. That cost is $2 per kit. Checks may be may out to Church World Service and should NOT be placed in the box with the kits. They should be given to the volunteers at the truck.
