Mission Team Heading for Haiti

March 16-24, 2011, a team of 7 will be serving in Banique, Haiti. Through the UMVIM, this cross-conference team is scheduled to help rebuild a school and a security wall. Jay Triick and Victoria Anderson from the WI conference are joining with Julie and Dylan Jefferies, Rev. Jacque Conway, Bruce Nelson and team leader, Rev. Christina Vosteen as we work in cooperation with projects and priorities set by the Methodist Church in Haiti. 

Each missioner raised $1,100 to cover costs in Haiti and donation to the project itself. Additional costs were incurred for airfare, vaccinations, and special needs such as mosquito netting.

How can you support the team? We ask for your intentional and specific prayer. In this season of Lent, as part of whatever daily discipline you follow, please offer The Lord's Prayer on behalf of these 7 missioners.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in Banique, Haiti as it is in heaven. Give Jay, Victoria, Julie, Dylan, Jacque, Bruce and Christina their daily bread. And forgive them their sins as they forgive all who may sin against them. And lead them not into temptation but deliver them from all forms of evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
