First service at The Glen a success

In the cold of an early winter night, people gathered to hear the story of the Incarnation and sing glory with the heavenly host.
"It was a very nice service," said Priyani of Glenview. "I hope that you do this again."
Rev. Kristen Larsen noted, "We are especially grateful for the support of the Bethany Methodist family who helped fund this opportunity to tell the Christmas story, right in the front and back yards of people living on the Glen."
The worship service even made the front page of the Glenview Announcements, a Pioneer Press newspaper.
I am humbled to be part of how God is working mightily through Glenview UMC's strategic outreach efforts. In a time when newspaper editors and village officials often come under scrutiny and criticism for remotely connecting with any church or religion, God is blazing a trail for people to experience God's good news. I am thankful for the prayers and support of the conference for this first worship experience.
