2:51 p.m. - One down. Laity/Clergy/Youth sessions coming up.

2:34 p.m. - The Northern Illinois Conference has raised nearly a half million dollars for relief in Haiti.

2:32 p.m. - Rev. Chipman describes the Harvest 2020 fundraising resolution which will be voted on this week. She and the Council of Finance and Administration are recommending that the conference approve the motion.

2:23 p.m. - Program Council explanation by Rev. Robert Sathuri, followed by Rev. Cecilia Harris, who described Harvest 2020.

2:10 p.m. - Finance chair Rev. Sally Chipman begins budget presentation, followed by Michael Morris.

2:00 p.m. - Rev. Daniel Diss, Chair of Daily Proceedings, continues. Several new documents will be added to the docket, including ones dealing with the issues of immigration reform, peace on the Korean peninsula, and the closure of Oswego Prairie UMC.

1:54 p.m. - Mark Manzi, chair of the Annual Conference committee, gets us started with organizing motions.

1:45 p.m. - And we're off! The 171st session of the Northern Illinois Annual Conference has begun. Music led by Cynthia Wilson. Bishop Hee-Soo Jung presiding.
