AC2010: Document Submission Deadlines and Guidelines
01/05/2010By Rev. Daniel Diss
The deadline for submission of documents for the 2010 Annual Conference session is 5:00 p.m. on March 1, 2010. There will be no extensions of this deadline for any reason.
Documents must be submitted as a Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) document. Please email to Rev. Zink and Rev. Diss at. Email is strongly preferred.
If absolutely necessary, documents may be copied to a Flash drive or unlocked CD-RW and mailed through the United States Postal Service or other delivery service.
Documents are to be submitted to Rev. Lora Zink and Rev. Daniel Diss at. It is extremely important that both Rev. Zink and Rev. Diss receive your documents and historical reports in order to complete their work in an efficient and timely manner.
Documents are to be formatted in the following manner:
• Document Name: What shall this be called?
• Author(s): Who is sponsoring/authoring this document? If a body, like the Annual Conference Committee, please give a specific name from that body which is leading the authorship for the body.
• ACTION: Describe what it is you are asking to be done by the Northern Illinois Conference.
• RATIONALE: In 500 words or less, tell why you are asking the Northern Illinois Annual Conference to take this action.
Line numbers, appropriate document number, page numbers, and any comments concerning financial implications from the Conference Council on Finance and Administration will be added later in the publication process.
Authors are to make citations to outside reference materials as footnotes using Arabic numerals (e.g., 1, 2, 3, etc.) rather than Roman numerals (e.g., i, ii, iii, etc.). Please refer to documents from the 2009 annual conference preliminary reports for examples of the document format. Please do not use the “whereas – therefore be it resolved” language and format of many years previous to 2008. (We do make exception to this when civil law requires.) If assistance is needed with document format issues, please contact Rev. Daniel Diss.
