Keeping the Faith: Contemporary Spiritual Practices for Contemporary Christians
How are your spiritual disciplines? For young adults, daily challenges make spiritual disciplines even more difficult. These weekly Lenten studies were written by young adults for young adults. They address some of the basic questions and needs of young adults such as time, fasting, and money management. A disclaimer might read: “Use as directed or as the Spirit moves. Apply over large areas. Common side effects include connections with God, with others, and respect for the God’s world.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (UMNS) - The United Methodist Church is set to debut an online Bible study beginning March 14, 2011. Participants will have an opportunity to explore and discuss contemporary topics and how they relate to the Christian faith in response to the call to Rethink Church. Participants who sign on for the Encounter Faith Bible study, available for free at RethinkChurch.org/encounterfaith, will look at timely issues, such as the demonstrations in North Africa and the Middle East, through the lens of faith.
